Nigerians can be corrupt, chaotic, and incompetent. But Nigerians are also amazingly innovative, and the years of struggle has taught us to be resilient.
I thought the newsletter was going to be about the election lool. Very insightful!!
I'm glad you actually mentioned the caveats because I was thinking, what's the benefit of being the top 5 largest economies if a certain percentage of people will still be living in poverty, e.g India.
It would be great to be the top 5 but it would be much better if it actually benefits/improves the lives of people.
haha I agree 100%...over time, the life of the average person will likely improve, especially if govt uses the increased revenue to invest in things that affect everybody (e.g. electricity or healthcare). Still very unlikely that we will catch up with the developed world on a per capita basis anytime soon (if ever)...thanks for commenting, Toibat!
Assalamu alaikum wa rahamatullah wa barkatu, Jazakallahu khairan, I enjoy your post.
Though Akhi Al Kareem it always makes my heart ache whenever you put the speech of Allah Subhana wa ta'ala as * Jara content * I do believe your intention isn't to put the Speech of Allah Subhana wa ta'ala towards the end as an extra note. The Deen is Nasiha ya akhi and I'm no better than you just an observation. Ya Akhi you could reap loads of Khair if it was more central to your topic or if as an intro a reminder to make one ponder, Jazakallahu khairan
This was an insightful read. It's assuring to see that Nigeria has a promising future ma sha Allah
It is, we can only hope some of the potential good comes to life!
