Hey! I like you, especially how we’re so similar. Don’t worry I’m not looking for a husband. I just like your content. Is it possible i could have your WhatsApp contact, so I could possibly see more of your content or something? It’s okay to say no.
Yo!!!! I love this. Even though I don't have to I have tried learning to code multiple times too. I just always get so bored and that I can't be bothered to continue. Keep doing this. I have to sign up now 😂
Beautiful read. I guess this sums up the problem a number of us face, especially in deciding where to or not pursue a career.
Despite not having a tech background (Degree level), I dabbled into coding as I loved tech and wanted to try something out. Enrolled for a WhatsApp class around 2016/2017 by a company called Rollascripting (I hope I got the right name). It was fun and very elementary. I built a number of websites (offline) using a friend's siblings confectionery business as a project.. I think I still have them. After a while... I left it.
Years later, a senior colleague and brother who is a Microsoft Certified Professional and Network Engineer tried teaching me again. At first it was interesting but along the line, I just stopped again 😂.
Thinking of it, your post has actually triggered a topic suggestion for my next blog post. You can check up on bleedinginkpot.wordpress.com
I'd do you proud by writing on this soon, in shaa Allah. 😁
Cheers, to you becoming a Software Engineer. I believe ☺
Super cool - definitely think there’s more than one way to be a “tech guy”
Totally agree with you as I never wanted to take computers apart either (I used them for games only 😅) and I see coding as a means to an end and not the end in itself.
I think being a SE definitely helps your career prospects as you get more job options, but It’s much more useful to understand what users want and why products get built
No added pressure or anything but I hope you keep writing as I really enjoyed this read 😅
What a read? Probably my nth try at the moment, let's see where that leads. However I see PM as very redundant and maybe boring, what do you think hameed?
After series of consultation and exploring, I finally dabbled into coding for someone with no background in tech whatsoever but loves anything techy and computers.

Hey Gloria! Hahaha this cracked me up 😂😂
I am one of those weirdos who doesn't post on his status, and this newsletter is by far my most regular means of communicating with the internet 😅
Thank you so much for your kind words and happy to connect by email!
No problem 😁

Thank you! True true. You're an inspiration Seun and I'm so proud of you :)
The hustle was real that final year. Even chemical engineering students caught the coding bug😭.
This was an exciting read, Hameed. Thank you.
