Hi guys,
Hope you are well. I’m doing okay, Alhamdulillah.
I write this at 12:38pm on Sunday afternoon, sitting cross-legged on my couch. I’ve had a looong week.
Over the past month or so, a combination of public holidays, days off for office trainings and workshops, and a short vacation I took meant that so much work had piled up. Especially as we have some immovable deadlines for end-of-month, it appears the next few weeks will be much of the same.

** Update:
It is now 9:59pm. I spent my day prioritizing other things, and finally ticked one very important box that had been in progress for over 3 months. To very quickly tick the “I posted!” box, I will quickly share an interview recommendation and a meme that made me chuckle. 😅
What I’m watching
I’m currently watching a Stanford #ViewFromTheTop interview with Tony Elumelu, Nigerian multi-millionaire and Chairman of Heirs Holdings.
I have a lot of respect for Uncle Tony, afterall, it is not beans to build x own multiple sucessful companies in Banking (UBA), Insurance (Africa Prudential), Power (Transcorp Power), Healthcare (Avon HMO), Oil & Gas (Heirs Oil & Gas), and Hospitality (Transcorp Hilton).
** side note: And no he is not my Uncle. If he were, I would not be writing a newsletter. 🤣🤣
If e easy you sef do am!!
While watching, I realized just how rarely I watch Nigerian business leaders speak. While I do (try to) read their books, I have shown little interest in watching their speeches or listening to their interviews the way I follow business leaders in the US, for example. This is something I will try to improve on in the coming months in sha Allah.
Anyhoo, the interview is about 45 minutes long, and well worth your time.
