Hi guys,
Hope you are well. I’m doing okay, Alhamdulillah.
Today is one of those days where I have zero motivation to write this newsletter. It’s not because I’m super busy. It’s not because I don’t have interesting topics to write about. It’s not because I’m going through other overwhelming life events. It’s just because I’m not in the mood lol.
I could probably go over my notes, put away my phone and spend the next few hours putting together a 60% effort newsletter. But no energy lol. Instead, I'll share with you a few articles I have recently read/will be reading soon, and maybe you can read them over the next few days.
Okayyyy.
1. The Second Coming of Stephen Curry
In this very insightful GQ piece, Hanif Abdurraqib gave an up-close view on the life of Steph Curry, one of the greatest basketballers of our generation. I respect Steph Curry for multiple reasons.
In today's world, it is extremely difficult to be loyal. Thanks to the abundance of social media and dating sites, it is easier to cheat/date multiple people than ever before. And thanks to the widespread availability of information on job boards like LinkedIn, it is easier than it has ever been to find new career opportunities.
Etc etc. So few people in the 21st century spend their entire careers with one company. Steph Curry is one of them.
He met his wife, Ayesha Curry when he was 15 and she was 14. By 23 and 22 respectively, they were married. In a sport where superstar athletes tend to have a lot of controversy for their off-the-court relationships, Steph Curry appears to be a model example of a husband and father (for now).
Something else I respect Steph for which is a rarity in today's world is his open devotion to religion. Since his university days, he has always had a biblical verse printed on his basketball shoes. Being committed to a religion is so un-cool these days and few people have the balls to carry something like Christianity or Islam on their heads, especially in multi-cultural teams and international organisations.
These are some of the reasons I find Steph Curry interesting, but not really the focus of the article. It's a good one, sha read it. 😂
2. Of Dollars and Data by Nick Maguilli
Instead of recommending a specific article, I wholly recommend Nick Maguilli's blog, Of Dollars and Data. Since I subscribed to it maybe two years ago, it has done a lot for my finances and investments IQ.
Just open it, choose an article at random and I promise you will find something fascinating. For example, see the screenshot below.
If you read his articles and don't like them, come and beat me. 😆
Lool I planned to share three to five articles but I don tire. E be like sey we go continue next week.
Oloun a so wa.

Have a great week. ✨
Thanks for showing up
The "I no dey mood" killed me 😂
You still made an effort tho which is key to consistency💪🏾. The start early vs start late seems interesting and I'll have a read InShaAllah. And I relate so well with your jara content. I remember I was still telling a friend how I miss the good old uni days where my productivity was peak MaShaAllah. Sometimes I look back at my pics from 2-3 years ago and I looked so much happier and wish I could go back in time (but in reality 2-3 yrs ago I had some struggles that didn't make me too happy).
