Doing it afraid.
I share personal stories and lessons I am learning in business, human relationships, and Islam.
I don’t think the fear ever leaves you.
Creating content is a tricky thing. Every time I write an article or share an extended public viewpoint, I have butterflies in my stomach. How will it be perceived? What if nobody reads it? What if my argument turns out to be false? Etc etc.
I write mostly because I have something to share. Something I believe someone somewhere needs to hear. And I really do like Medium. Buttt, sometimes it feels too formal, too permanent. I have thought about creating a personal website and curating my content in different sections, but have been much too lazy to implement. Instead, I have succumbed to peer pressure and created a substack. Usually, I get at least two of my close friends to review my drafts for errors before publishing. That will not happen here.
What will I write about?
I’m not entirely sure. I like to learn about many things, but they usually revolve around business, human relationships, and Islam. Some days I may be sharing stuff from books I'm reading and podcasts I’m listening to, some days I may be lamenting about the job market or telling you why love is a bastard. Whatever it is, it will be personal, honest, and useful.
How often will I post?
Again, I don’t know. I’m tempted to commit to publishing at least once a week, but let’s see how it goes.
Should you subscribe?
Yes, heck yes. You should probably tell your friends too.
Gracias, and see you around.
